Madelyn discovered her love of all things music and sound at a young age, learning every instrument she could get her hands on, joining every band, ensemble and choir and converting her childhood bedroom into a recording studio. She pursued this passion at the University of Technology Sydney, completing an Honours Degree in Music and Sound Design in 2016. On weekends she writes for a national music magazine, reviewing all the best concerts and festivals and continues to produce her own tracks.

LESLEY CHAMBERS

SENIOR PRODUCER/HEAD OF CASTING

Lesley has worked in artist management and voice casting for over 20 years and brings her keen eye (and ear) for talent to Song Zu as Head of Voice Casting. With her passion for client service and project management, she is a formidable creative producer in our client’s quest to find the perfect voice for their brand. She can often be found at the theatre, comedy show, or at an end of year NIDA graduate show, always keen to find the next up and comer.

Meg hails from the music industry where she has been a chart-topping singer, collaborating with artists such as Groove Armada, The Potbelleez and Chaka Khan to name a few. She also has worked for Australia’s largest entertainment booking agent, putting on corporate shows and events for clients such as Chanel and even the Packers. With her passion for music, wealth of music business knowledge and experience in creative management, she has the perfect mix of skills and is a welcome addition to the Song Zu family.

DAVID TARTAK

FACILITIES MANAGER

David is the oldest member of the Song Zu tribe, his career spanning over 20 years. As Facilities Manager, he is the centre of knowledge both past and present, when it comes to Song Zu building codes, audio procedures or culture. He can be found in the Machine Room, always ready to have a friendly chat or more importantly, solve your IT problems.

A graduate from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Music and Audio Technology, Karen has always been passionate and interested in the Music Industry.

With knowledge of both Music and Audio, she understands the importance of both and the hard work that goes into creating high-end soundtracks.

A true believer that music has amazing powers that can touch one’s soul, Karen has also been an avid singer from the age of 16 performing at many events and venues across Singapore.

In May 2012 she joined Song Zu Singapore for what is turning out to be an amazing career!

IAN LEW

PARTNER / MANAGING DIRECTOR

Ian graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with a Bachelor of Business Studies in 1989. Moving to London, he took up a position with Arthur Andersen where he specialised in advertising and media including a long-term secondment to Martin Sorrell’s WPP Group.

In 1996 after relocating to Sydney he joined Song Zu as General Manager and in 2000 he left to join Supersonic as their General Manager and Executive Producer primarily working in TV and film including Alex Proyas’s feature film, Garage Days. He later solidified his feature film experience at Song Zu as the Music Contractor on the Michael Joy IF Award-winning feature, Men’s Group.

In August 2003 he became part of the Song Zu Management buy-out team before relocating to Song Zu Singapore in April 2011.

JESSICA BONNEY

Hailing from M+C Saatchi Jess has worked on numerous campaigns for such prestigious clients as Commbank, Lexus, Optus and David Jones.

As a classically trained pianist and with 5 years of agency experience ranging from Client Service to Production, Jess was the perfect fit for the creative musical culture of Song Zu.

She has fast become a household name for clients who love her friendly can-do attitude. She can often be found in studio followed by her faithful shadow, Hartley, her mini-Ewok.

KATRINA AQUILIA

GENERAL MANAGER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Katrina joined Song Zu to combine her love of two different worlds. An accomplished agency account handler with 9 years experience, she has worked for Publicis Mojo, M&C Saatchi and Iris on high profile clients including Toyota, Sony and Westfield.

Katrina is also an accomplished musician who holds a Bachelor of Music Composition, plays several instruments and has performed in bands for over 10 years. She speaks fluent advertising, music, and even a little Italian.
